Meet Team Ross!
We have a wonderful group of volunteers! Each volunteer "plays" with Ross 2-4 hours a week! We have one group meeting a month to discuss and brainstorm ideas to make Ross's program as effective as possible. We are still looking for more volunteers so if you or anyone you know are interested please go to the volunteer page and apply!
Laura
Laura, our newest volunteer facilitator, is a junior at Franklin High School. Over achievers beware! Not only does she run cross-country and track, she is also in the high school band AND a Challenge Day Student Leader AND takes loads of AP courses! She loves playing UP with Ross and writing all over his chalkboard walls! She is a natural and Ross is delighted to play with her twice a week!
Dianna
Dianna is a high school English Teacher. She also taught preschool for a time. Her teaching skills are apparent in the playroom as she was a seasoned Son-Rise pro from the get-go! Ross likes to leave messages for Dianna on her cell phone and would really rather not have his sessions with Dianna end. Their interaction is so wonderful that it is like they have been friends for centuries...maybe in another life? Pretty sure they were! We love you, too, Dianna!
GG
GG is Ross's very first volunteer! When we told her about our plans for our program she instantly said, "I want to do it!" She is a grandmother of three and absolutely loves everything about the Son-Rise Program! GG was once an elementary school teacher and met Ross's mom and dad when she was doing marketing for a local engineering firm. GG is on our injured reserved list, but is ALWAYS in our hearts! We miss you much, GG
Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a student at Sac State. She is studying to become an Occupational Therapist for children so this gig is perfect training for her! Ross and Elizabeth play the Question Game a lot and Ross always asks where Elizabeth is! Elizabeth is originally from San Jose and often drives all the way back here to Sacramento to have her session with Ross. Right now Elizabeth is on her way to a semester in Germany, but she will be back in May...we will be waiting patiently!! Have fun, Elizabeth!
